Clustering projects

Clustering of projects aims at more efficient cooperation between projects dealing with the same topic. Clustering activities include sharing knowledge, expertise and experience, organising joint events and cooperating on raising public awareness about the common problematics.

Powerskin+

The project aims to develop a truly innovative façade solution based on the smart integration of highly energy efficient components, including super-insulative elements, solar energy harvesting and active energy storage features, all in one single combined active/passive management system especially addressed for modern non-residential lightweight Curtain Wall and Double Skin Frame (DSF) retrofitting solutions.

PLURAL

The project aims to design, validate and demonstrate a palette of versatile, adaptable, scalable, off-site prefabricated Plug-and-Use kits. Key to achieving this goal is to understand how to select and integrate various renewable energy technologies from the many available, incorporate them in prefabricated façade components and optimise their performance for different building types, climates and socio-economic conditions. Also, how to best manufacture them minimising energy use and material waste. All the above in the context of BIM (Building information modelling) process.
